Does filing for bankruptcy AND foreclosure prevent you from getting a job?

Howdy! Here is a good bankruptcy question. Please feel free to add your comments to the mix!

I’m about to do both. Or, I may default on my credit cards instead of filing for bankruptcy, not sure. I bet that looks worse on your credit record? I work in a job that deals with financials, and they do credit checks on potential employees. I don’t have a job now. Will filing bankruptcy AND foreclosing, or defaulting on your credit cards and filing foreclosure prevent you from getting a job, no matter what field you’re in? How much of an impact on not getting a job? I could wait to do all of this, until I get a job, and accept my aunt’s $10K, but even if I accept her $10K, if I don’t get a job, I’ll have to file foreclosure in the end. There is a chance in my field you can get a job, but it usually is temp to perm. Thanks!
What if I’m a temporary worker, do well and have a foot in the door, will poor credit still prevent me from making the job permanent?

Yahoo Answers always has very good bankruptcy questions. Hopefully this one has benefitted you.

Have a productive day!

Employers are skeptical about hiring poor credit risk people. You will be competing for a job with people who have great credit histories.

So, yes, it will hurt your chances, either way bankruptcy, foreclosure and/or non-payment of credit cards.
