Unbiased stand on issues (democrats vs republicans)?

Greetings! Well, here is a bankruptcy question that will help answer a common query. Good luck!
I am looking for someone out there who can provide me with links and resources that list the differences between democrats and republicans as far as where each party stands on key issues. Usually what I can find online are poorly crafted comparisons that are one sided and not very well put together. I know everyone’s opinion will be a little biased one way or another, so I know I will probably get some bum answers, but I’d like to have ideas from both sides to understand where people are coming from better and help others to come together and understand our differences more.
Also, if you can’t think of anything that is good about the other party, just saying what is good in your party and what you support without bashing the other guys would help too. If however you do have something annoys you, and you have facts to back it up, i’d be open to hearing that too. Hope you’ve all got your political hats on tonight
Didn’t you enjoy that? I did. I think I may add my own answer to that bankruptcy question. How about you?
Have a wonderful day!

i honestly don’t know that there is an answer out there that your looking for. for example, democrats by and large are pro-abortion. pelosi is a catholic and abortion is frowned upon by the church. so is pelosi a catholic or a democrat? you could go to the far extremes of each party and where they stand is no where near where the average american stands or believes in. i’m a male and believe in a woman’s right over her own body but i don’t believe in “abortion on demand” so to speak. does that make me a democrat or republican? in my own life i understand that if i continue to spend more than i have or can make, i’m going to wind up in bankruptcy. does that make me a democrat or republican? i chose to think it makes me someone with common sense, something that is sadly lacking in both parties today. as long as people believe their viewpoint is correct and the only way to go we will never come together and understand our differences. that is what compromise is all about and that also has gone out the window today. sorry i can’t be more helpful.

here is a fairly decent comparison of the party platforms. It is pretty much copy pasted straight from the parties, only problem is it is the 2004 platforms.
I’ll try to find you something more recent

Sorry, your comparison is only two sided. Why don’t you look at other parties or political beliefs like libertarianism?

It depends…..Do you want info. on the Former democratic party, the revised democratic party, or the former conservative republicans moving closer to center. What once was is no longer.

I’d go to the parties’ websites and see what they have to say for themselves:
http://www.democrats.org
http://www.gop.com

I’d love to be able to say something good about Democrats but unfortunately just about everything they do involves either the direct or indirect use of force to get compliance out of those that disagree with them. There are NO opt outs in Democratic ideas. EVERY one of them is designed with a hook that works something like this-use FORCE to make each and every citizen participate, then accuse them of being a hypocrite when they try to collect instead of just pay.
Social Security (let me invest where I want)
Unemployment Insurance (employers should be given option to pay those who opt out more pay)
Health care bill (they fine you if you don’t insure)
Welfare (opt out of paying higher property taxes and opt out of eligibility)
Minimum wage (take lower paying job vs being unemployed)
Union membership (many states require membership)
Public Schools (should be able to pay less property tax or get vouchers for private schools)
and so on

I can give you an unbiased answer on the difference between democrats and republicans. A democrat would say “Something must be done” were as a republican would say “I must do something.” The difference is personal responsibility. Democrats want the government to take care of it, republicans believe in personal responsibility-as in you take care of it yourself. It may sound heartless, and often is, but that’s life and the things you really work for and accomplish through your own means and abilities have a much richer reward than things that are just given to you.
As far as finding websites, good luck.
