Was there a debate about “Social Justice” being evil before Glenn Beck deemed it to be evil?

Hello! Here is an interesting bankruptcy question with some good answers.

Proverbs 31:8,9
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Yahoo Answers always has very good bankruptcy questions. Hopefully this one has benefitted you.

Have a good day!

Interesting how some define “Social Justice” Social Justice is to administer the law with justice. That’s it. That’s the level playing field, but OH NO we have to now ENSURE that everybody turns out the same. Everybody is equally smart, rich, happy, successful etc. Social Justice in this context is consfiscatory taxation in order make sure everybody gets whatever they demand. This is how liberals buy votes. What a great scheme. Steal from your political enemies (the rich) in order to pay off those you want to vote for you. This is all going to come to a giant crashing halt called national bankruptcy.

Old skool haters were suspicious of Social Justice because they thought it smacked of communism. Beckian haters are just looking for someone to be afaid of so they can have someone to blame their problems on.

I must say, though, that I’m glad Beck has put Liberation Theology into the public debate. Liberation Theology is one of the few theologies that remains faithful to both the Jesus tales and the biblical witness. At least people will be exposed to it and think about it.

Milpitas, CA. A secretary to a LDS Bishop has admitted to sexually molesting four children, and will be sentenced to 14 years in prison. Craig Allen Harward, 54, pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of lewd and lascivious acts on children under the age of 14, and no contest to a fourth count of the same charge, Four of the case with the most convincing evidence involved four boys — two of whom were 10, one 11 and another 13 years old at the time they were molested. I am so pleased that I am British we have had `Social Justice` for half a century or more.

We pay into the system as we work and get paid by the system when there is none to be done, we get free health care and a state pension from our donations. It is a wonderful system, most of us are very proud of it and many have been saved from poverty because of it.

I`m sure that we could all pick some holes in it, but basically it works very well indeed.
Most European nations operate similar systems.

  9. The Enchanting Wizard of Rythm Says:

Sure. Every war we ever fought against Communism was a debate about the evil of “social justice.”

Nice verse. It’s why abortion is wrong.

“Social justice” is not about rights, unless you consider it a right to be given other people’s stuff.

  11. Captain Obvious Says:

While the proverb you quote is correct, it wasn’t meant in the context of helping others through a government welfare system that takes money from it’s citizenry at the point of Uncle Sam’s gun. It was meant that a neighbor helps a neighbor out of the goodness of their own heart. Charity…not taxation.

  13. The Great Gazoo Says:

Honestly, that isn’t even close to what Obama really means when he says that. He’s talking about taking money from one group to give it to another. Just look at how the economy is reacting. Do you really think ANYONE is better off?

The only good part here is people are starting to see it. When the economy flounders for two more years they will know.
