What counts as a serious delinquency on your credit report?

Howdy! Here is a great bankruptcy question for your perusal.
Certain cards such as chase, require that your credit history is clear of bankruptcy, serious delinquencies or denied credit by them for 6 months.
What counts as a serious delinquency, 30/60/90 days late? And how long do any type of delinquencies stay on your credit report?
also are they as bad as a bankruptcy on your report, or they’re not weighed as heavily? do longer delinquencies have more of an impact than lesser, and more years for them to fall off, or is that all equal?
That was an interesting bankruptcy question. Hopefully it has improved your knowledge on the subject.
Thanks for visiting! See you next time!

Serious is defined by the lending/credit card institute. One bank might consider 60 days late serious, while another might decide 90 or 120 days is serious.
All negative reports stay on your record for 7 years. As the delinquencies age and you make newer payments on time, the delinquencies have less affect on your credit score. This includes such VERY serious reports as bankruptcies.

All the things you mention are cause for concern, “serious” could be 30 days or 90 days, I guess that is for them to determine. Bankruptcy is worse then delinquency, both are horrible for creditworthiness. All delinquencies stay on your Report for 7 years. Longer delinquencies will have a greater negative effect then short ones.

Any account/loan or mortgage that has gone 90 days past due is seriously delinquent.
