If An Individual Declares Bankruptcy, Is He Required To Notify Creditors And If So, How’s He Supposed To Do It?
This person lost in small claims court and I was awarded $1500. Still haven’t collected it. The court and all parties involved are in California. Thanks. Yeah, I am concerned that the deadbeat will declare bankruptcy.

all they have to do is file with the federal court. They can attempt to notify you that it’s been submitted in bankruptcy – but really they only have to tell the court. then you’re kind of sol.
