And before you say scholarships, my grades as I are mediocre. Loans are out of the question and I have a health condition that the military recruiters won’t accept!

Declaring bankruptcy does not automatically make student loans “out of the question”. As long as you have not defaulted on a student loan previously, it is possible for you to apply for Federal Student loans which are federally guaranteed and not credit-based.
I don’t know that it is completely reasonable for you to think you’ll be able to continue your education without contributing either with money from scholarships, grants or borrowing.

Try applying for Financial Aid. The worst they can say is no.

Here’s a suggestion – If you work for a college/university, then you can usually get tuition remission – that means you can get a paycheck plus free tuition. You will have to work full time, so you could only go to classes part time, but still, you’d be able to graduate without any loans to pay off, plus several years of work experience. Go to the college or university, and see if they are hiring.

Sounds like you are trying to find excuses, are you sure you really want to go? If you are, then you can go part time and pay as you go. Well worth an investment in yourself.

I would try for Pell Grants and Scholarships. When you apply for Fin. Aid it automatically submits it for the Grant. But the scholarship thing you have to do on your own.
If your already in school, go to the office and ask about a scholarship book. They should have something with tons of options.
It doesn’t matter if your grades are mediocre, they still have stuff out there you to get your hands on. Just make sure you read everything before you waste your time applying.
