Will My Debt Vanish

One of the questions that many people often fail to ask is, what debts will remain after I file for bankruptcy. Do not become one of the people who procrastinates till the last minute, and then realized that you will still owe money to different institutions… thereby reducing the benefit you gain from “starting over” financially. Below you will find a list of debts that will not be voided by filing for bankruptcy, so plan ahead.

  • Any debt owed to alimony, child support, etc.
  • Any debt that is not listed on your petition for bankruptcy.
  • Any loans that were given to you after you provided erroneous information to a creditor.
  • Any debts that are deemed to be caused by your own willing to “harm” a person or business.
  • Student loans that are owed to a school or government… unless the court grants you an exemption.
  • Other liens or mortgages that are not paid for by the bankruptcy.

Read, learn, and plan your bankruptcy as smoothly as possible.
